Yep another empties post.. I seem to be going through dozens of body lotions, cleansing fluids and perfume samples lately. As you can see from the pics, all of the products are sample sizes but most are quite generous samples so I feel like I had enough time to test them out to actually pass judgement on them (read : any excuse to procrastinate).

So I went through 2 10 ml samples of the Ren Neroli and Grapefruit Hand and Body Cream. OMG.. I am so sad these are finished. I literally heard the birds chirping and smelled the orchard when I smelled this. It's not a strong scent but I love it even more for that reason. It sort of lingers. I am on a mission to find a full size of this. These were airline care bag samples. You can get it here for $29.00.

Needless to say, I have high expectations from all Ren products. But I was disappointed to be faced with a Rose scented body cream from a brand that has been so innovative with scents. I am not a huge fan of the rose scent in body creams as it makes me feel old (smell old?!). But when I tried the 50 ml sample of the Moroccan Rose Otto Body Cream, I was surprised that I actually quite liked the smell. It's kind of a spicy, sure there is lots of rose in there but there is also some ginger. I love it. It's a LOT stronger than the Neroli and Grapefruit one but I still really like it. Would I go hunting for a large bottle of this? No. But I do really like it. It's a very different take on rose. You can get it here for $44.00.

Oh by the way, both Body Creams are nice and dense (not thick) and pack a punch of moisture. Very nice without being greasy. If I had money lying around, I'd buy these.

Lancome does some of my favourite cleansing products and this cleansing fluid is one of them, it's actually their 50 ml sample of the Gentle Softening Cleansing Fluid for Face & Eyes. I only use it for the face though. I mentioned this in the samples I am going through post - here. Very nice, I think I might have another bottle somewhere, but that will have to wait as I am using the Clinique cleansers right now. You can get it on any Lancome website and in department stores.

Now onto the disappointing product, Bakel is a brand that I had never heard of until I was given this sample to try. It's a 3 ml sample of their Deep Hydration Serum which is essentially Hyaluronic acid and water, seriously those are the only 2 ingredients. I have heard a great deal of good things about this acid and the wonders it does for your skin, mostly from Anna (Vivianna Does Makeup) so I was super excited to try this, and wait for it, yes yes you guessed it, it broke me out! I reckon it's just the sheer concentration of the acid in this serum that didn't agree with me though. The actual cost of the full size serum is $140 for 30 ml here. WHAT!

Nivea Goodbye Cellulite Gel is a sample I think I received in 2011!! I understand if you are appalled but it was sealed and I just found it in the bottom of a drawer and decided to use it up. Not sure if it is still sold, sadly it was too small a sample to make any difference to my mountain of cellulite though.

Another Lancome sample that was featured in my Samples I'm working through post - see here, was the Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Concentrate. When I started using this eye cream I was nervous as I felt it might be slightly too active for my skin and do more harm than good. But I actually ended up really liking this eye cream. For it's anti-aging properties I have not evidence but it's a nice moisturising cream that protected my eye area. I recommend trying this if you like creamy under eye creams. You can get it here for $68.00 for 30 ml.

Lily by Stella McCartney is one of my favourite perfume of this year. I love how soft the floral notes are and how long it lasts on me. In fact I think this is going to be my next perfume purchase. You should try it if you are in the market for a new scent. This one is a big hit with me. You can get $80.00 for 50 ml here.

I am in love with anything ginger these days (I mean ginger root!). It's my favourite invigorating scent. Elemis nails it again with their Exotic Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash. I had the 50 ml bottle and I managed to get a good 4 weeks use out of this. It was one of the best shower experiences of my life :) Love this. It's only $10.00 here.

Eve Lom TLC Radiance Cream scares me a little. It took me 14 uses to use up the 5 ml worth of product. It just kept on giving. Why does this only happen when I am not in love with a product?! This cream is way too thick and way to strongly perfumed for my liking. Afraid to say I am happy to see the back of it but only because I don't have dry skin. It might work for drier skin. It's $80.00 here.

The Clinique Pore Refining foundations is awesome and I am sad to have finished my 2nd sample! Do you think I could snag another one? I'm in love with the finish this foundation gives. Super easy to apply with you fingers or brush, it's a does it all product for me. Thumbs up.You can get it here for $27.00.
