The Menu - July Empties

I know what you are thinking.. another Empties post?! I have no idea what's happened but I am finishing up products that have been half empty for a while and trying not to have a zillion products that I am using at the same time. I am also guilty of someone who gets a lot of satisfaction from recycling empty beauty bottles and tins etc. So I have 22 empties this month, lets get started!

All my empties!

The Body Shop Spa Wisdom Africa Ximenia & Salt Scrub - meh, that's all I have to say about it. Cost me $10 in sale, so not overly disappointed, but not recommending it either.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover - this makeup remover is amazing. Works just as well as the Lancome one but for a fourth of the price @ $5.99.

Herbal Esscences Beautiful Ends Conditioner - I bought this in the UK and have had it for 1.5 years, so to be honest I am just tired of it. But it's a decent conditioner for medium to long hair especially if you have coarse hair and it's extremely affordable.

Dr Cole Purifying Facial Toner - I won a competition when I was back in the UK and I was sent all of the Dr Cole line of products. Grace Cole have now discontinued this line but I actually really enjoyed the toner but for the strong perfume it would have been perfect.

DERMAdoctor KP Duty Moisturising Therapy - is a overpriced body butter costing $36 in Sephora. I was born with keratosis pilaris (a common skin disorder typified by "chicken skin" or bumpiness on the surface of the skin) on my upper arms. It's a crappy skin condition which makes wearing sleeve-less anything a pain. When I bought this (a few years ago) I was suffering more than usual and was desperately searching for ways to combat the condition. But this moisturiser is useless and did nothing for me. I believe that exfoliating every day and using a good hydrating moisturiser every day is the best way to keep the bumps soft and less obvious.

Lemon Sage Body Wash and Body Lotion by Paul Mitchell
- these are hotel samples and I have few more of these to finish off, but I wanted to mention these as I have loved them so much. The scent is fabulously zesty and really helps wake me up in the morning and the body lotion is wonderfully thick and absorbs easily. Love it.

Hermes Body Lotion - My dad bought me the Hermes gift set which included this body lotion sample and I loved it. The scent is well the Hermes scent but it lingers nicely all day and it's very hydrating. Shame it was so small really. Thanks Dad!

Equaline Premium Cotton Rounds - my absolute favourites. I am on my last 100 of these!!! Yikes, need to get some more quickly.

Elemis Tri-enzyme Peel Off Mask - this was given to me by a friend who used to work at an Elemis Spa. I loved this mask, it was basically powder that you mixed with water to form a paste and applied to your skin and then wait 15-20 mins to peel it off. There was enough in the sachet for 3 uses and it helped with my blackheads and made my face look radiant. Amazing stuff.

Clinique Comforting Cream Cleanser
- I have mentioned this cleanser here, so you can read about it there, but in case you don't fancy page hopping - this is a fabulous cleanser for dry skin. I highly recommend trying it.

Penhaligon's moisturiser - Penhaligon's doesn't sell their skincare stuff in stores, this was an airline sample so I won't go on about it.

Darphin Intral Sensitive Skin Moisturiser and Eye Care - is an impressive and expensive brand and I really didn't know much about it so was not expecting much from the tini tiny samples that I had. But oh I love this stuff and I am obsessed with it, so I am going to save up for a month and not spend any money on beauty products and buy this moisturiser at the end of July because it's amazing. The Darphin Intral Sensitive Skin Moisturiser is easily absorbed, smelled gorgeous, did not sting my eyes and made my face feel plump.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser - not a huge fan. I like their night cream but cleanser was too smelly and didn't feel like it really cleaned my face and it's not really great value for money. So moving right along..

Estee Lauder Sumptous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara - one of my favourite high end mascaras, which I have mentioned here. I really enjoyed the effect that this gave, which was to extend and volumize without looking fake, great for work.

Chloe See by Chloe (4 ml) - I fell in love with the packaging of this, but the perfume is just OK. I have written about it here.

Crabtree & Evelyn LA Source Ultra Moisturising Hand Therapy - this was my favourite hand cream until I discovered Nuxe's Reve De Miel Hand Cream which is amazing. But so is this. Crabtree & Evelyn was one of my favourite stores to visit when I lived in the UK, they seemed so grown up and sophisticated and their products are the same, grown up and sophisticated. Love them.

Sugar Lip Balm by Fresh - this is another one of those over price lip balms, priced at $22.50. This was a birthday gift from Sephora and I enjoyed it, still have the Rose version to use up, but I don't think these are worth the price or the hype. Quite similar to vaseline in a stick form actually.

So finally we have reached the end of this LONG post. I apologise for it being so long and I hope it didn't send you to sleep.

Till next time then, ciao!
