The Notes - Samples to use up in September


I love receiving samples. They are a fun and cheap way to try out new skin care. They are also a great marketing tool for cosmetic companies so don't be afraid to ask for them when you are in Sephora, Ulta or any makeup counter. I have a few here that I want to use up during September.

Lancome Genifique Youth Activator (7 ml) which is a serum which Lancome claims - Reactivates the 10 key signs of youth, day and night. This innovative formula, featuring Génifique’s powerful new complex with added biotechnology-derived ingredient, is incredible to the touch. The full size is $80 for 30 ml.


Youngblood Eye Impact (3 ml) is an eye cream. Youngblood says - Give eyes a wakeup call with our hydrating, illuminating eye cream. It instantly reduces the signs of fatigue with a combination of powerful ingredients (including antioxidants, peptides and caffeine) for revived, fresher-looking eyes. The full size is $58 for 15 ml.


Caudalie Premire Cru The Cream (2ml) is a face moisturiser. Caudalie says - A concentrate of active ingredients correct visible signs of aging in a single step. Day after day, the skin seems transformed: imperfections and dark spots are diminished, the skin texture is refined, and the complexion becomes more even and radiant. The texture of the fluid melts onto the skin for a naturally perfect and luminous result. The full size costs $155 for 50 ml.


Cane + Austin Retexturizing Treatment Pads (1 pad) are meant to be a at home glycolic treatment. Cane + Austin says - A one step, at home glycolic treatment that gently exfoliates and retextures skin while helping to rebuild collagen. Use twice a day to visibly help reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and hyper-pigmentation, firm skin, and improve tone and texture. Skin luminosity and vitality are restored, revealing a clearer, more radiant complexion. The full size costs $60 for 60 pads.


Tammy Fender Intensive Repair Balm (2  ml) is an intensive facial balm. Tammy Fender says it helps Dry/Dehydrated/Damaged/Post Healing/Sensitive/Redness/Mature and Aging skin. The full size costs $130 for 54 g.


Marula Omega rich Anti-aging Marula Facial Oil (0.9 ml). Marula says - this light golden oil sinks in right away to give your skin the supple radiance you’ve been craving. Over the long term, it will firm skin and boost elasticity. Marula oil also has a host of natural healing properties, from soothing redness to fading scars. Finally, it’s great for all skin types (even the most oily) since it helps regulate your skin’s natural moisture levels.The full size costs $78 for 50 ml.


Lancome Primordiale Skin Recharge Visible Smoothing Renewing Moisturiser SPF 15 (1 ml) is a moisturiser. Lancome says - Skin is recharged, it looks healthier and function more like young skin. Skin is smoother, and fine lines appear reduced. Complexion appears brighter, more radiant and skin texture is refined. Protects against aging free radicals and environmental pollution. Texture is smoothed and refined. Immediately, skin smoother, softer and is more radiant. Full size costs $77.96 for 50 ml.


Clarins Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction Cream (2ml) is a day cream. Clarins says - Expert age-control skin care to correct early wrinkles and loss of tone from 30 onwards. Full size costs $58 for 50 ml.


Make Up Forever HD Powder (1 g) is a setting powder. What Make Up Forever says - This industry recognized luxe finishing powder sets the foundation and slightly mattifies skin without changing its natural contours. Made of 100 percent-mineral silica, it softens the appearance of imperfections, fine lines, and pores and completely evens out the complexion for a glowing, radiant look. The full size retails for $34 for 8.5 g.

So the value of my samples featured here is - $53!!!

    1. Aahhh hun.. you are so sweet, it can be daunting at first but I always remember that I spend money with these people so samples are a deserved perk. Can you believe how quickly the money adds up?! I was shocked at how much these ended up being worth!

    1. I totally agree, I think it's such a wonderful feeling knowing that you have found something that works and then buying the full size with confidence. I hate the thought of waste $$s for products that may not work.
