The product that I chose for this week is my ever reliable Beauty Flash Balm by Clarins, this balm has been around for years. When I first was given a sample of this, I wasn't entirely sure how to use it. Since it was called a balm I used it as a moisturiser and I thought it was lovely. I loved how it made my face look more awake and smoother somehow. So I thought, wow this would make a fantastic moisturising primer and was blown away by the results.
So let's talk about what it does. As it says on the tube, it helps brighten and tighten you face. But in my opinion the real beauty of this product is that if applied correctly (do not rub this into your skin, smooth it over as gently as possible), it creates an extremely thin film on the skin that acts as a perfect base for makeup or makes your skin look smooth and soft if you are having a no-makeup day. I am always amazed at the difference this makes if used properly, kudos to Clarins for producing another quality product.
I managed to get a sample of this from the nice lady at Clarins, but I have recently purchased the full size having been suitably impressed. It cost me $45.00 and I picked it up here. This product is widely available at all Clarins counters and even on Ebay ($9.99 for a sample size) and Amazon.
So to sum up, this is a hugely versatile balm, it can be used as a moisturiser or a primer or even as a mixing medium for a thicker foundations (like the Illamasqua Skin Base or the Kevyn Aucoin's Sensual Skin Enhancer).
Have you used the Beauty Flash Balm? Do you find it works for you?
Been wanting to try this for years! Definitely going to try and grab a sample! Xx
