New year, new wishlist. This one is dedicated exclusively to makeup. There are some staple 'want that now' products in there that have been on my wishlist forever and then there are a few new ones that I didn't know I wanted until I read reviews about them by some fellow beauty bloggers.

There is no chance that I am going to go out and get any of these but I think it's fun to dream, don't you? So anyway, lets talk about these amazing shiny colourful products!

Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Plum Attraction - If you haven't heard that Chanel blushes are amazing, let me inform you that I have been informed that they are amazing! I have been reading about their lovely cream blushes, most recently on the lovely Rachel's blog - Blush and Brunch but I am really more of a powder blush person and if I could I'd totally snap this beautiful blush in all it's plumy magnificence.

Guerlain Terracotta Bronzing Powder in 05 - The king of bronzers as I have seen this product being described numerous times. I have wanted this forever but I can never justify spending $50+ on a bronzer. If you own this you are braver than me, and luckier :)

Em Cosmetics Lipstick in Miss Moneybag - Em Cosmetics is Michele Phan's brand that she started last year and already seems to be doing quite well. Their products are only available in the States I think and are priced in the mid-market range (i.e. neither drug store nor premium). I have been hearing a lot of good things about her lipsticks but again do I really need another lipstick? Sigh.

Marc Jacobs The Face II - Sculpting Foundation Brush no. 2 - The Marc Jacobs line of makeup has been doing really well at Sephora. I heard recently that he may be bringing his products to the UK soon too, which is always a sign that a brand is doing well. I love his brushes and I know that the ginormous Bronzer Brush of his has turned into a must-have brush but I prefer the look of his Face II Sculpting Foundation Brush. It's the perfect size and is SO soft. During the Sephora Friends & Family sale, I even added this to my basket but I buckled under the pressure and took it out. Might have to add it back in at some point though. It's so soft!!

Buxom Full Bodied Lipstick in Hooligan - Never having tried any Buxom products, I have been told that their plumping lip glosses are amazing. But I am scared that they might tingle my lips and I am not keen on that. So I think I would rather go for their more gentler but still full bodied lipsticks. Have any of you tried these?

Dior Creme de Rose Smoothing Plumping Lip Balm - I own enough lip balms to treat my lips for the rest of my life. I definitely don't need another one - This is my mantra that I reiterate every time I read another blog post about this amazing smelling Dior lip balm. I think it might be a less expensive version of By Terry's Baume De Rose.

Bourjois Java Rice Loose Powder - The Bourjois brand is one of my favourite drugstore brands and when they recently brought out some of their vintage products, I was in equal parts excited and gutted. Excited because their Java Rice Powder seems like something I would love and gutted as it's not available in the States! Until recently I had made my peace with not owning this until I saw Alix's post comparing this powder to the Ambient Lighting powders from Hourglass. I love her description so much and reading her post made me want this even more!

Bite Beauty Cashmere Lip Cream in Port - I have read so much about the Bite Beauty brand which is known for its all natural lip products. I adore their Lip Cream shade in Port, I don't own anything like this in my collection so I am slowly building up a good enough case to buy this.

Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt Brush  - Another new brand from a familiar name. This time's it's the famous makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury who released her own cosmetics line in the UK last year. She has some amazing products in her line but for me the one that I really want is her Powder & Sculpt brush which has such a unique shape.

Writing these wishlist posts is like therapy, it feels good to share :) Hope you enjoyed reading the post as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

  1. You definitely need to get the Bourjois Java Rice Powder! I got it about 2 weeks, thinking I would hate it because I have oily skin and hate the smell of Rose, but I haven't been able to stop using it! It's love!
