The Review - Flaky Flaky

I apologise for my little hiatus from blogging, I have been incredibly busy at work and been so tired that I haven't been going to the gym but going to bed at 9.30 every night!! The extra couple of hours of sleep have helped and I am feeling perky today.

Soap & Glory Flake Away Scrub

Ok so lets talk about my first Soap & Glory purchase which was a little tub of their Flake Away Scrub. This is not going to be a great rave review :( I loved the packaging, the price is ok. The tub is only 50 ml and I have used it four times and have already gotten half way through it. Soooo not huge. It cost me $5 at Sephora though, so we are not talking crazy bucks and thank heavens I didn't buy the big old tub that costs $20 and let me tell you why.

Soap & Glory Flake Away Scrub

I love the Soap & Glory signature scent but this smells so SO strong that I feel like I am rubbing perfume all over my skin. I like nicely scented body washes and scrubs but this is extremely perfumed.

The other thing I am not impressed with is that the scrub has a load of peach seeds and some larger sugar granules to do the actual scrubbing. Well the peach seeds do nothing for me and the sugar granules are too sparse to make any difference. The instructions for this product are to scrub away until the sugar has melted or dissolved, well I found that the sugar granules are not part of the scrub, i.e. don't stick to the mass of the scrub base, they just fall right off my skin. I can hear them hitting my tub! So all I am left with are the peach seeds and the rest of the scrub which is very very gentle and very very perfumey.

So this scrub is not for me, however, I haven't given up on Soap & Glory yet. I recently bought their Breakfast Scrub. I'll keep you posted soon on how that is faring.

Hope you all have a fab weekend! I will be posting again tomorrow morning.
