The Unboxing - Ipsy Glam Bag August 2013

I love Ipsy and was eagerly awaiting for my Ipsy August 2013 Glam Bag. This month's bag was late but it made up for the delay with the products I was sent. Let's take a look.

Ipsy Glambag August 2013

I have to confess I screamed out loud when I saw the Urban Decay Revolution lipstick included in my bag. Urban Decay has recently released a new line of lipsticks called Revolution. These are meant to be creamy, nourishing, hydrating yet long lasting and come in 22 different shades. I received the shade Anarchy which is a lush cool toned pink that blows my mind. The sample packaging is wonderful, it's a dinky little pewter metal case with Urban Decay logo on the top and it's sooo wonderful that they managed to recreate the exact packaging for the sample and didn't skimp. I have yet to try this lipstick but it looks so wonderful, will keep you guys posted. If you have tried this, let me know!

Oh btw these are now available at Sephora for $22.00 here.

I also received the Pixi Lash Booster mascara, I think I received the full sized product which retails $17.00! I haven't tried this but I love trying new mascaras, really looking forward to trying this one out.

I also received a 10 ml sample of the Pacifica Alight Multi-Mineral BB Cream, which I tried and it seems nice. The colour is a little light for me and it has a fragrance to it that might not be to everyone's taste but seems nice enough.

The one product I am not excited about is the Mica Shimmer Powder (shade Bronze) which can work as an eyeshadow or highlight or bronzer but I already received Mica Shimmer Powder (shade Earth) from Ipsy before.

Last but not the least is another product that I am excited about, it's a Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub. Fleur from FleurdeForce always raves about this skincare brand so I am excited about trying this. I received a 30 ml sample so should last me a month or two.

So here we are folks, a great Ipsy bag (I looove the Hogwartish print on the bag) and some really lovely samples make up this August's Glam Bag. For $10, I think Ipsy really outdid themselves this month. Hope you enjoyed it.

    1. I might attempt to stamp down to shimmer powders myself to make them more user friendly but other than that they are gorgeous.. super pigmented and finely milled.

The UD lipstick reminds me of Maybelline Colour Sensational Vivids (my favs) in terms of consistency and pigmentation (UD might be a tad more pigmented). Really pretty and comfortable to wear.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog!!
