The Review - A Mystical Post (Get it?!, misty - cal)

Summer is a time when we are the happiest, it's warm and sunny. Sometimes too hot and too sunny. Beauty companies are coming out with new ways to keep us cool on days when the heat is unbearable. I own two of these 'hydrating mists', one of these claims to be quite a bit more than just a face mist, but I'll get to that.

Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist ($22 for 200 ml) - I received this in my June Ipsy bag and I have used it a few times since then. I really LOVE the way it smells, reminds me of a flowering trea in our garden in India which I cannot remember the name of, but used to smell exactly like this. I do like the packaging, it's sleek and the spray delivers a uniform fine mist which is great (you need to hold it quite a ways away from your face, to avoid a blast in your face).  The refreshing feeling is just one of the benefits that the Hydrating Mist claims -
  • Tones & refreshes with resveratrol from organic grapeseed.
  • Aromatherapeutic with pure essential oils of ylang ylang & rosehips.
  • Hydrates with organic aloe.
The claims are even more astounding because Juice Beauty doesn't use parabens, petroleum, propylene or butylene glycol, sodium lauryl sulfates, pesticides, phthalates, artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances. The brand of course also doesn't test on animals.

I really rate this product as a little bit goes a long way and I think the price is not bad. A little trick is to spray this on your hair for great smelling hair.

Caudalie Beauty Exilir - This product is a huge cult classic, I think most people who read beauty blogs own or lust after this beauty. I am lucky enough to have a 100 ml bottle of this which cost me a whopping $49, so I know what you are thinking - "it better be worth it". Well I think it is.

The packaging is so lux, it's a thick glass bottle with a lovely spray nozzle on top that delivers the perfect mist. Oh the scent, the smell of this is beyond gorgeous. I pull off the top and just smell this for a whole minute before spraying it, because it transports me to a gorgeous serene spa, no matter where I am.

Th Beauty Elixir is packed with more potent ingredients and feel much more like a skincare step rather than a hydrating mist. The ingredients include Grape, Orange blossom, Rose, Balm mint, Rosemary oils which can be seen as a top layer in the bottle. The benefits include - smooths away fine lines, tightens pores and gives the complexion an instant boost of radiance.

I cannot vouch for long term skin care benefits as I have only used this for a few weeks, but I can say that I am smitten with the smell and the quality of this spray. I would recommend it, however it isn't a must have product obviously especially since it's so pricey. But I cannot help but like it.

    1. Hey Parita, thanks so much for visiting my blog (you have a beautiful name!). I believe Cult Beauty and Feel Unique do worldwide shipping these days and Caudalie products should be available through them. Do let me know if that's not the case.

I really want to try Avene as it's slightly more affordable, but I'd never even heard of Bioessence! Have to check that brand out immediately :) I love spritzing a little something on my face to wake me up after lunch.
